- Warm up with familiar keys. Rest your fingers on the home row: A S D F for the left hand, J K L ; for the right. Find the raised marks on F and J if your keyboard has them. Type a few short words before beginning a timed game.
- Play one boss with accuracy in mind. Read the highlighted word before touching the keys. Press Space or Enter to submit it. If you miss, pause and find the letter or punctuation mark that changed.
- Notice one measure. Watch either word accuracy or average words per minute (WPM), not both at once. Try to finish the next run with fewer missed words before trying to type faster.
- End on a small win. Record a word or symbol that was difficult, then type it correctly several times. Next session, begin with that same word.

Later stages require the exact capital letters and punctuation on screen. The first stage ignores capitalization so beginners can learn the basic rhythm. In any stage, a wrong submitted word costs a life after the enemy attack lands; three lives return at the start of the next boss.
When a child gets stuck
Use the displayed word as a guide rather than guessing from memory. For capital letters, hold Shift while pressing the letter. For quotation marks, apostrophes, and question marks, point out the key on the actual keyboard before retrying. If a level feels too hard, take a break and replay from the beginning; each run starts at the first boss.
A short, comfortable session is more useful than racing until hands feel tense. KeyNinja works best with a physical keyboard and does not require an account. Sound can be turned off, and switching tabs pauses the fight.

Is KeyNinja free?
