Terms of Service

These terms govern KeyNinja, operated by Outland.Work LLC. They apply to your use of the service; account creation and purchases require express acceptance. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling. Contact brett@outland.work for help.

Accounts and eligibility

Only adults aged 18 or older may create or use a signed-in account or make purchases. Use your own Google account and accurate information. Keep access secure and sign out on shared devices. Children may use signed-out practice with parent or guardian supervision; do not create child accounts or save a child’s activity to an adult account. We do not currently provide verified parental consent for child accounts.

Permission to play

We grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use KeyNinja for lawful typing practice and entertainment. KeyNinja’s code, artwork, branding, and content belong to us or our licensors. Do not redistribute or commercially exploit them without permission. You retain any rights you have in information you submit and permit us to process it to provide the service.

Fair use and safety

Do not bypass payment or access controls, interfere with the service, exploit vulnerabilities, scrape personal information, infringe others’ rights, or use the service unlawfully. Take breaks and stop if play causes discomfort. KeyNinja is a practice tool, and we do not promise a particular educational result.

Free play and purchases

Free access currently includes Dojo basics and three Shadow Trial runs. Membership currently costs US$4.99 monthly or US$49 annually. The separate Armory Pass is a US$4.99 one-time purchase; it does not grant unlimited runs and its unlock is stored in the purchasing browser. Clearing site data or changing browsers can lose that unlock; contact support with your receipt for help. Earned game tokens are virtual gameplay items with no cash value.

Stripe Checkout displays the final price, currency, taxes, discounts, and billing interval before payment. A subscription renews automatically at its stated interval until cancelled. You authorize these recurring charges when purchasing. Any material price change will be notified before it takes effect, with an opportunity to cancel. New pricing does not override the terms of an existing paid billing period.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel renewal through Billing & Help or by emailing brett@outland.work from your account email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, with access continuing until then. Deleting an account, clearing browser storage, or signing out does not cancel billing. Contact us promptly for duplicate, unauthorized, or failed-delivery charges or other refund requests. Requests are reviewed individually; refunds and statutory withdrawal rights required by applicable law are honored. There is no blanket waiver of consumer rights.

Availability, changes, and suspension

We may maintain or update the service and suspend access for abuse, security, or legal reasons. We will provide notice where reasonably possible and honor applicable rights for paid services that cannot be supplied. Cloud and browser saves are not guaranteed backups. Contact us to request account deletion.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation or particular results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct. You remain responsible for your own unlawful use of the service.

Disputes and changes to these terms

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem. These terms do not require arbitration, waive class actions, or remove any mandatory protections or court access you have under applicable law. Material changes will be communicated where required; we will request renewed acceptance when needed for accounts or purchases. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
