How to practice each lesson
- Look at the screen, not the keyboard. Use F and J to recover position when your hands drift.
- Slow down before guessing. Correct movements build a more useful habit than fast mistakes.
- Repeat exact rounds. The Dojo asks for three exact rounds and at least 92% character accuracy before marking a lesson mastered.
- Move on when the movement feels stable. You do not need maximum speed before introducing the next small group of keys.
What should a beginner learn after the Dojo?
Once the home row and first top-row reaches are familiar, practice them in real words and sentences. Use the typing accuracy guide to troubleshoot recurring errors, the 60-second typing test for occasional WPM checks, and the Shadow Trials to use the skill in a game.
