Find the F and J keys without looking

The raised guides on F and J are the quickest way to orient your hands for touch typing. Your left index finger rests on F and your right index finger rests on J.

Why F and J matter

Most standard keyboards place a small raised bar or bump on F and J. Those tactile guides let you find the home row by touch. Once your index fingers are in position, the remaining fingers can settle naturally on A S D F and J K L ;.

A simple F and J drill

Start slowly with fj jf ff jj fj jf. Keep your eyes on the screen. If your fingers drift, use the raised guides to return to F and J before continuing.

What success feels like

You should be able to find both keys without searching visually. Speed does not matter yet; a calm, repeatable movement is the goal.
